Specifically the professional profiles defined by the Standard are:

Strategic HSE Manager: operates in an organizational position with full decision-making autonomy with reference to the organization's strategic choices in HSE. His or her role is identified by the top management of the organization in order to have a professional figure who can support it in defining strategic choices and related objectives in the HSE context

Operational HSE Manager: performs his activities in an organizational position with full decision-making autonomy with respect to the management of operational aspects but limited with reference to strategic aspects, defined and decided at a higher level of the organization
With reference to the requirements of Standard 11720, ACS Italia has identified two other professional profiles specializing in Health, Safety and Environment, respectively:

HS manager: a professional figure who supports the organization in achieving its objectives in Health and Safety based on his or her specific knowledge, skills and competencies

Environmental Manager: a professional figure who supports the organization in achieving its objectives in the environmental field based on his or her specific knowledge, skills and competencies
With certification, the professional is able to provide greater assurance to his or her clients, gain credibility, and gain access to the registers of certified professionals.
