ACS Italia has signed the agreement with IPDP, the professional association of Personal Defense Instructors. Following the enactment of CONI Resolution No. 1574, which defines self-defense as a professional activity, ACS Italia, an ACCREDIA-accredited Competence Certification Body and the first publicly controlled body, has defined with IPDP the criteria and requirements for the certification of Personal Defense instructors and covering three different levels:

The Instructor of Self-Defense (IDP) is the professional who is distinguished by the ability to prevent confrontation, either by bodily attitudes defined as "active," or by context analysis skills, or by psychological attitudes.
Therefore, he is not the instructor of martial disciplines since the person's defense is not based on rules of engagement or respect for the opponent, in protected environments and with the proper safety precautions that are normally taken during a sports or competitive competition.
The IDP also conducts teaching of negotiation strategies, methods and methodologies of effective communication
The professional who aspires to be certified must be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the relevant legal standard, a high level of skill in teaching and relevant technical abilities, as well as a willingness to remain up-to-date, a necessary condition for being able to continue practicing the profession through certification by ACS Italia.
In order to pursue the path of professionalism and national recognition, the professional will have to follow a course provided by a training company - SAD international - which specializes in the training of public and private emergency responders and has also received training course qualification from ACS Italia.
