Certified processes and skills in ULSS 6 Euganea

CSQA and ACS Italia have recognized the conformity of processes and activities carried out in ULSS 6 Euganea joint operating units with the certification of staff competencies.

ULSS 6 was awarded certification of the Quality Management System and certification of the competencies of 24 staff engaged in management system improvement.

"We wanted to have our quality management system objectively validated by a third-party body with the aim," explained Ulss 6 General Director Paolo Fortuna, "of better guaranteeing the activities that are delivered by our operating units in the various hospital Presidiums belonging to the Services Area Department, Cittadella Donated Milk Bank and Functional Department of Veterinary Public Health and Food Safety.

We are also among the first to have the Prostate Cancer Diagnostic Therapeutic Pathway certified with the ISO standard. Not only that, we have all four emergency rooms in the Emergency-Urgency Department.

CSQA has responded to our need, carrying out its analysis both documentally and in the field, and the certificates obtained today make us particularly proud given that, for the first time, we have also certified the competencies of the first 24 operators who belong to the Network of Quality Referrers, who work and work every day to maintain the system and improve it.

We are aware that this represents a starting point but we are also aware that in the Italian healthcare landscape we are pioneers in certifying processes and people jointly."

The new Quality system, the implementation of which started at the end of 2021, has led to the issuance of CSQA and ACS Italia's related certifications, of PDTA, pathways and activities, and staff competencies.

"The project denotes," as stressed by Carlo Perini, president of CSQA - a strong desire on the part of Ulss 6 to abandon any form of self-referral and to want to recognize and invest in the competencies of its staff by guaranteeing citizens verified and certified services, facilities and skills.
