At the close of the event, CSQA President Carlo Perini and ACS Italia CEO Massimo Dutto, officially handed over the CSQA Certificates for the Italian Model for Risk Management in Healthcare MIGeRiS™ developed by LUISS to Azienda Ospedaliera di Rilievo Nazionale San Giuseppe Moscati - Avellino (Level 3), the U. O.C. Cardiac Surgery (Level 4), U.O.C. Pediatrics (Level 4) and ACS Italia's Risk Management in Healthcare according to the MIGeRiS™ model and in accordance with ACS Italia's SCH 13 scheme.

The Italian Model for Risk Management in Healthcare MIGeRiS™ was born from the study, started about 20 years ago on 131 Italian hospitals, and from the experimentation of a working group, made up of more than seventy practitioners for healthcare: physicians, healthcare professionals, clinicians, engineers, lawyers, managers experienced in risk management procedures, company directors and economists have all worked together on the common project of creating a practical tool, constantly updated over time, that could be a guide to support companies in making care safe.

The Italian Model for Risk Management in Healthcare MIGeRiS™ is innovative, dynamic, modular, sustainable, and allows for safer organizational and managerial paths in healthcare facilities: it consists of a set of general specifications, organizational, structural and managerial requirements, to which Companies must conform their system for Risk Management in Healthcare.

The methodology for risk management is based on the iterative paradigm "I know, I manage, I control" and therefore allows for a continuous cycle of updating, which arises from new requirements and/or changes that occur over time in certified companies.
